After a couple of canceled raids because of troubles with our tanks not being available I decided to go ahead and level up my Death Knight so that we would have some backup.

He was already level 73 when I started. That was yesterday. Now he's 80.

My back and wrists hurt... like hell... xD

What's the best thing there is to boost a guilds moral?

A new boss kill of course :)

People have been kind of grumpy about us not getting enough people online for the raids and constantly have to hold up on our progression.

But tonight we got a raid together and had Freya, Hodir and Thorim still walking around.

Last wednsday we did terribad on Freya, which I couldn't quite understand since we even managed to kill her on our second attemt ever, and so I wasn't really too optimistic about this raid, seeing how the setup wasn't quite what you'ld want it to be.

On wendsday we kind of put our new priest on the spot too lol.

We were about to do Ignis and we had been doing the first 2 bosses with 9 people because of a disconnect.

Our new priest, Litentjej, had dinged 80 some thirty minutes earlier that evening and we had a quick discussion on vent, deciding that it was better to have 9½ people in the raid than 9.

So our guild chat basicly read something like this:

[G] Litentjej has reached level 80!

[G] Everyone says grats

30-something minutes pass

[G] Ypolt: Litentjej you're gonna do Ulduar.

[G] Litentjej: Whaaaaaaaaaa?!?

So we bring him in for XT, which by the way if you didn't notice was quite bugged out before they hotfixed him after the patch.

XT went down on the second try though (once we understood that he was bugged :P) and our dear little priest performed quite well considering ;)

Anyways, back to tonights raid then.

Even though Freya/Thorim/Hodir went down smooth as butter you could feel that the atmosphere in the raid wasn't really what it was supposed to be.

Before going on to Mimiron we even had a vote to see if people wanted to progress or go farm som badges in Naxx. Fortunetly the majority wanted to progress o/

So we get to Mimiron. We've had a few tries before, getting him down to phase 3, but nothing serious. Just some tries before calling it a night.

So we get all buffed up and ready, pull the boss and the tank dies on the first plasma. What the hell...

Two more tries with the same results.. You have got to be kidding me! We conclude that we really miss having our disc priest here and decide to give it one more try, getting our act together, and then call it if we fail as misserably.

Well we don't ^^

We almost get him to phase 4, but with alot of stupid deaths. Alright, alright, now our members are getting pumped o/

We recover quickly, do some changes in our positioning strategy and give it another go!

Going into phase 4! YAY!

Now, we have 2 ranged dpsers and the rest of us are melee so to be on the safe side we've decided to swap targets as soon as the one focused is at 10%.

People are starting to die though (me included.. fuck ankh CD :<) and for some reason the MKII unit is down to 4% while VX is at like 23%.

After a little bit of yelling about the targeting (which works super to shift focus from me dying :P) everyone seems to be focusing the VX unit and soon enough we have them all at <3% and somehow magicly he goes down.

All in all he wasn't too difficult, just alot of different things to adapt to with our setup.

Litentjej got the healing mace (he's shadow but was still using Hyjal gear :P) and Cayli got the T8 helm :) Congratulations :)

So.. time for an update long over due :)

Vonn's been at me several times for not updating my blog and so

tonight he actually said he missed it so I thought I'ld give a little update ;)

consider

Our guild is doing pretty ok at the moment. Since we're only accepting members who we know in RL we're having some issues of getting raids together because someone is always off doing something else. But the times we do get a raid together we do good and we're currently progressing at mimiron, which isn't bad considering we raid about one night a month :P

I also decided to ditch my hunter, Naj, in favour for my old TBC shaman.

Originally I just transfered him and leveled him up to 80 to get a couple of more professions but after a single Naxx 25 PuG I basicly outgeared Naj and decided to go with him instead as our guild is pretty melee heavy (usually just one caster :P) so an enhancement shammy increases our raid performance by quite alot.

So... INTRODUCING YPOLT!

ypolt

I still like the name Naj though, and my blog banner is kick ass if I might say so myself so I'm going to keep the blog the way it is now :P

Now I'm off to heal (!) some heroics :) Ciao

KT down

This week we decided to go into naxxramas for the first time since we rerolled.

We were lacking a few members to fill the entire raid but there were atleast 7-8

of us from the guild.

Except for a priest who was healing less than the enhancement shammy on

loatheb and a few unlucky tries on Four Horsemen and some lag at Kel'Thuzad

we managed to one-shot all of the bosses.

Wasn't much hunter loot that dropped, but then when KT lied on the floor I

managed to pick up the [Nerubian Conquerer] which made me a happy panda :)

Got two new paladins in the guild now aswell which we are going to try and

gear up as quickly as possible so that we can pull off the upcoming raids ourselfs.

Thanks to all who participated :)

First of all allow me to apologize for not updating the blog in a while.

My lovely hunter is level 80 now and has been for a couple of weeks :)

My only problem so far is that as soon as I have gold I feel the need to spend it, so

I haven't gotten my epic flying skill yet... but it's coming! :P

There's now 4 of us in the guild who are level 80 and two who are 79 so we'll

have a perfect heroic setup in a day or so.

If you're a swedish healer playing alliance on vashj and would like to join a fun

loving 10 man guild then don't hesitate to contact any of us :)

I've been farming Relic of Ulduar all morning while leveling my new devilsaur

Grimlock (yeh, transformers ftw!) to 80. So atleast I'm honored with Sons of Hodir

now and got some shoulder enchants.

I've been Survival since I dinged 80 but I decided to level up a Devilsaur to have

a exotic pet for when the 3.1 patch hits the PTR. But then I just did some dps tests

on the test dummy in Ironforge and my current BM specc beats my SV specc by

about 3-400 dps, so I think I might stick with it for now :P

SPOTIFY

So I know most of you probably decided to read this post because the title says

free spotify invites :P

Well I won't dissapoint you then :) A few days ago I discovered THIS site which

hands out about 100 free spotify invites each day.

The site is in swedish but all you have to do is click the "Få Spotify Invite" button

or, if you'ld like to invite a friend, enter their e-mail address and click the "Skicka

till en vän" button.

You're welcome :)

This is just gonna be a short post ;)

Hunter is 64 now, not really enjoying outland so taking it a bit slower than usual.

Was up working on a guild logo last night and since we don't have a website I

decided to put it up here for an easy way to show it to the guild.

The rest of you are welcome to post feedback aswell of course ;D

Yes, it's a montage :P

Milestone number 2 has been reached! Level 60!

Wow the boost to EXP they gave us really made leveling easy. I just started in

WPL when I hit 60 (yes without RAF of course).

My goal was, and still is, to read all the quests and enjoy the game and lore but I

have to admit that I did get one boost and some of the quests didn't get read

because I've simply done them too many times.. Old habits die hard I guess..

But I often realized it and tried to better myself ;)

I was 55 when I started playing today and the guild list was empty most of the day.

Luckily I had my friend Petter on ventrilo most of the evening who was going for 79

so that helped me stick to it :)

Micke and Per was out celebrating Per's 24th birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BUDDY! :D

Wish I could have been there :) (No I did not ditch them to level, they live in another

part of the country now :P)

So, Vanilla WoW is over as far as my hunter is concerned.

679 quests completed. That's alot of lore :) And even though most of it is basicly just

about some guy wanting you to kill 20 mobs of some sort because they are pesting

his farm or whatever there are some really good bits in there aswell :)

Most memorable would have to be the ones with great scripted events like the

sea monster in theramore where the sky turns dark, the rain starts to fall and

you have to run between 3 cannons to shoot at the cousin of Lurker Below; or

the owlbeast quest in Winterspring where you get to meet the priestesses who

explain that the owlbeasts (oomkins) were put to the world to protect different

artifacts and stuff for elune :)

I also just got my 100% mount. Thanks alot to Petter for loaning me half of the

gold required to buy it :) I wouldn't like to start in Outland without one.. 60% is hell.

So now that I'm 60 I'm heading to Outland. All though I'm not sure wether I should

wait for the rest of the guild or not. It will probably be a couple of days before they

hit 60 and I'm not sure what I would do in the meantime. Level some profession

perhaps.. On the other hand it's more fun to do the 70+ instances together and

there's nothing stopping me from doing Outland instances with them even if I'm at

a higher level I guess.. :)

Vonn (micke) has forced me into becoming an enchanter :P And that's enough to

keep me occupied for sure, but running low level instances over and over gets

tiresome rather quickly :D

So I read a blog post (I'm sorry I can't remember which blog it was) asking for

people to post old WoW music and I thought I would give you all an old favorite

to listen to :D

I'm sure most of you have heard it before but probably not in a while ;)

http://thoryana.com/music/RunToTheTank.mp3

Now I think I'm going to try and get some sleep.. I'm not as young as I once were

and can't sit this many hours infront of the computer without it getting to me :P

Perhaps I should watch some Entourage first though.. yeah, probably should.. ;)

Oh... and Vonn is the best mage on Vashj!

(you owe me 50g now you fucker :P)

Tonight I'll just write up a short report on what I've been doing :)

Woke up at like 4am this morning and it's now closing in on 11pm so I'm getting

a bit tired ;)

So first of all I noticed that there was a pre-air release of the final episode (probably

ever) of Stargate Atlantis out which I just couldn't keep my hands off ;)

I'm not going to go into details about that as it might spoil things for those of you

that read this and watch the show, but I was hoping for a longer episode with a

bit of a more epic ending.

Still though it had alot in it that I was hoping for so all in all it was a good episode.

Just too bad it's the last one. But I've heard rumours about a movie coming out

and HOPEFULLY the new Stargate series will be great too. Just wish it would be

an Atlantis spin-off :/

I spent some time off WoW today to get some quality time with my beloved Xbox

and "Starwars: The Force Unleashed".

It definitely has that lovely KotoR vibe but puts your right in the seat as a great

sith warrior where you almost feel invincible. But just the right amount of it

as in the next minute you find out the hard way that you really couldn't take on

30 enemies head on :P

The enemies are pretty clever, the enviroments are awesome, the facial mocap

is fantastic and the physics engine seems to do what they said it would.

The whats-it-called system to build everything in the game from atoms so that it

blows up realisticly doesn't quite deliver on the promises. But its still better than

most things I've seen.

All in all an awesome game to say the least :)

Next on the list of new things I've done today is that I've finally, after ALOT of

peer preasure, watched Entourage. I'm just gonna assume that you've heard about

it ;) I've been kind of skeptic about watching it but I'm on the second season now

and can't seem to stop watching ;P

I sort of get the feeling that someone decided to do a Sex in the City but for guys :P

The girls are beautiful, the main cast basicly has every personality you need to

be able to relate to one of them while wishing you were one of the others and

you definitely wish you could live their lifes for a week ;)

WoW wise things are looking pretty good :)

The boys seem to be dedicated to rerolling so far :) We had a great time the other

night just goofing around in the guild chat and we all were just basicly happy

about playing with the people we actually like and doing it in a fun matter rather

than like a race. Not to mention that our guild chat with 3 people online at 6am

in the morning was more active than our old guild chat at 6pm :P

A couple of others has shown an interest in rerolling aswell when they heard about

us doing it. It's really awesome so far, allthough I must admit I'm a little ambivalent

as I honestly must say that I don't want everyone to reroll :P Then we would just

end up with the same thing but on the alliance side :P

But so far it's only cool people and we're having a blast :)

Watched a movie showing Ulduar aswell. If Blizz makes the encounters half as good

as the place looks we might get into raiding again too ;P

But, all in time ;) As I've pointed out many times now, we're rerolling to have fun

and rediscover the game at every level ;)

January 6th 2009 at 21:33, 4 Comments,

Been pretty slow all day. Don't know why but every time I get up early I seem to

be really tired all day even though I got all my sleep.

So today my hunter only gained one level.

A really funny thing happened with my pet though.

As some of you who hang on #dingblog on IRC might have noticed, my pets auto

prowl function was bugged. It kept turning auto prowl on whenever I dismounted

or zoned or anything basicly where he got temporarily dismissed.

I tried just about every possible solution I could think of, mostly in order to file a

bug report.

Then today I was talking to a friend on ventrilo and said that I wanted to get to

level 43 so that I could tame the elite snowy tiger in STV so that I didn't have to

turn off stealth all the time (and have a white cat ofc :D).

Somehow, my dear cat Mittens must have overheard me talking about replacing him

because the next time I dismounted it was working perfectly.. and so far it still is :D

Even though the daily progression of my hunter has been slow I've managed to do

some good for the alliance ;) I managed to talk 3 of my friends from Outland into

re-rolling :)

Time will tell if they'll stick to it or not.. but seems like most of us just want to get

back to playing because it's fun :)

I've also broken the seal to my box of "Star wars: The force unleashed" for my

Xbod 360 ;) Haven't played it yet.. but I'll get back with a report when I do ;)
